Role Models
I rarely feel awkward about watching films alone, I have done it for so long now it doesn’t even feel notable, I feel most awkward when people ask and then comment that it is strange that I do, but as I watched Role Models alone I did feel slightly uncomfortable, as it goes a little too sweet and begins to feel like I should be hugging people after this film, it shouldn’t have been surprising how sweet it got concerning companionship as it does follow the route of a typical Apatow film despite no involvement on his behalf, and it is beginning to tire me of this wave of American comedies, that they have to be so damn sentimental and stress it in the conclusion, Paul Rudd is a fine leading man but I don’t feel he is reaching his potential here, there are funny moments here but nothing that shines like Superbad, and I was left with no one to hug.
